Benjamin Britten A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Blackwater Valley Opera Festival takes place from 26 May – 2 June 2025, hosting 23 events at 12 historic homes and venues across the Blackwater Valley.
Benjamin Britten A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be staged in the magnificent grounds of Lismore Castle, with the Irish Chamber Orchestra. Henry Purcell Dido and Aeneas with Paula Murrihy and the Irish Baroque Orchestra, will take centre stage at St Carthage’s Cathedral, Lismore. Concerts at the semi-restored, 18th century Dromore Yard will feature Niamh O’Sullivan, Paula Murrihy, and the Irish Baroque Orchestra; with a full recitals programme, and free events in Lismore, Dungarvan, Youghal, and Castlemartyr Resort.
